BRIEF HISTORY
The business is owned and managed by our CEO, Hellen Ohwofasa, a professionally trained, qualified and certified lash & beauty artist.
She graduated from the beauty college with all straight distinctions.
Two weeks prior to her studies in beauty college, she reliased she was pregnant (her first pregnancy at the age of 21).
At first, she was worried if she would cope with the pregnancy and the demand from her studies. She knew that if she dare tell her tutor that she was pregnant, she might be asked to drop out or differ her studies. But, because of her passion and determination, she kept quiet until she was over 20 weeks pregnant. It became obvious that she could no longer hide her pregnancy form her tutor and classmates. With all the challenges and difficulties that comes with a pregnancy, she was determined and committed to complete her studies. With the help of her husband and committed to ensuring, she succeed, Hellen eventually graduated with straight distinctions.
In less than two years after her graduation, with no business or industry experience whatsoever, she took a bold step to open her beauty salon with no financial support from the bank or government, but with the little savings she and her husband had saved. Her first beauty salon previously called Fantabulous Styles was opened in 2012.
Things where really tough and difficult the first four years in business. The business was in debt, bailiff came twice to close the business due to debt the business owed. Electricity was cut off twice. Some so called business ‘experts’ from a local government agency came to support and advise her to close the business because of poor cash flow. Due to Hellen’s passion and love for what she does, she refused to quit.
2 years afterwards, she rebranded the business to specialize in eyelash extensions by providing niche service in the beauty industry, hence its now called 3D Pro Lashes.
3D Pro lashes has been in existence since 2018 with a vison to be Bournemouth’s number one eyelash experts and the brand is living upto that.
She has a second location a SPA in Sandbanks and has written more than 3 published books on amazon. She’s a mother of three and married for over 14yrs.
